Par contre au mois de Mars, même avec une gelée blanche le matin et une température normale , elles seront capables d’aller chercher le miel n’importe où.

Donc, ce que j’ai dit, pour la période risquée, cela concerne surtout janvier et février (qui n’est toujours pas encore passé !). En plus quand , on a dans certaines régions des débuts d’élevage précoces, la colonie se déplace vers le haut au fur à mesure de la consommation..

Une colonie peut mourir de faim, même avec quelques kg de miel restants, si ce miel n’est pas accessible. Il faudrait regarder le croisement de la courbe descendante des abeilles hivernantes (les vieilles) avec celle des jeunes et si le niveau est trop bas, la colonie au lieu d’avancer, recule … et c’est encore moins facile d’aller chercher le miel au loin …..

Je t’ai pris l’exemple du miel à l’arrière, car si tu remarques bien une colonie en coupe , elle est plutôt positionnée décalée par l’avant … avec le paradoxe, pourtant la porte est à l’avant !

Vu la douceur de la saison, on voit bien la différence de comportement entre les colonies. Certaines sont encore sous les provisions et les ruches sont bien lourdes. d’autres s’allègent et ont la population qui commence à augmenter.
Faut juste les accompagner, veillez que chaque colonie ait ce qu’il faut pour se survivre/ se développer ensuite la météo sélectionnera les colonies en phase avec les miéllées de celles pas en phase.

Ok les ruches sont lourdes (donc avec de bonnes provisions), même si c’est absolument nécessaire, est ce suffisant ?

Je dis qu’en Janvier-Février et cette année encore plus en raison du redémarrage précoce de l’élevage (du moins dans notre zone du Sud Ouest).

1/ Les colonies se sont décalées vers l’avant et elles occupent la moitié avant des ruches, cela veut dire qu’il y a très peu de provision du côté frontal, donc l’élevage peut être décalé par rapport au stock de provisions plutôt situé à l’arrière, voir un espace vide : le couloir de la mort.

2/ On remarque aussi une présence anormale d’abeilles sur les têtes de cadres, cela veut dire que la grappe de couvain est haute et que le peu de provision du haut des cadres est en cours de consommation.

3/ La courbe de population des abeilles de N-1, n’a pas encore été remplacée par celle de l’année N, donc encore moins d’abeilles dans les jours à venir, donc encore plus de difficulté à franchir le couloir de la mort pour aller récupérer des provisions au delà.

4/ Donc, tout va dépendre de la suite de l’hiver et comme Ispat le dit, il est vraisemblable que nous pourrions avoir une période critique. Quand ?

Si l’on sait que les abeilles avec leur position actuelle sur le couvain, sont scotchées …
c’est pour cela, que j’opte dans les cas critiques pour l’option candi.

Si je me trompe, il restera fin Mars/début Avril les 3/4 du candi, et je trouverais bien une utilisation ultérieure sur les élevages.
